Return to book synopsis

Loving Your Body, is relevant to everyone.

It offers a new understanding for all the so-called “evils” of the world (violence, terrorism, greed, illness, abuse and self-abuse, including climate change. The cause of all these is dissociation on a mass scale.

Dissociation is about our removal from our natural heart core of compassion where we are Wild, truthful, loving, and consciously free. The book (pages 13 -16) explains how dissociation happens and more importantly why and makes some positive suggestions about how we can return from this distressed state to being healthy and peaceful, which it is the author's belief we would naturally be, if we gave ourselves the chance.

Terrorism, fundamentalism, illness and climate change  are all  examples of how our society is currently drenched in the consequences of dissociation.  Of course, as individuals, this usually begins to happen very early in our lives, when we start to buy into the negative messages and habits around us and stop following our inner truth.

Socially the consequences of the inappropriate use of fossil fuels, and the thoughtless emission of greenhouse gases, consequences that  we are now beginning to meet seriously, show us that  Nature is insisting that we learn and  mend our ways.  Dissociation is the cause of the effect of climate change. But as I say in this book it is never too late to turn your life around: Healing is
always possible.

The way back to health personally is to go very much to your center,  connecting with who you really are, the light that you could allow to shine in the world and Loving your body is the way I have done that. Socially the lessons are not necessarily immediately obvious, we are learning as we go. One thing I have noticed so far here in the UK is how the current situation is giving us opportunities to value our community and in particular to  appreciate the infrastructure we have built and more to the point the individuals who work in the water services, fire brigade, those who are on a mission to make electricity renewable and so on.  These people are now being listened to and what they have to say is being valued and appreciated in a new way. It seems to me that at the very least it's bringing the challenge we face into focus and stimulating us to appreciate and value what is good how we repond to life. A job for the water board can now make you a respected authority on the radio, with the media hanging on your every word. That's a change!

In conclusion, t
his little book is  not just a personal story of healing which is nice enough, it is also a political/social/spiritual template for understanding all the challenges we in our society, currently face. So, read Loving Your Body . As I say in the Preface, “to put it crudely it is fashionable to be negative. And we do so often without the slightest understanding of the power and responsibility which we have in our own lives which is unlimited”

The future is what we make it
